Midnight Nostalgia

Copyright © WD, 2021 All rights reserved. People around me often ask why do I have a messed-up schedule. Well, that is because I can not decide when to sleep and when not to. Lately, my sleep is being angry with me, it used to be my best friend, but now we do not share much time. I can barely sleep for an hour straight. Nights are not fluent. I keep on waking up after every hour or can not sleep at all. I suppose this is the issue with most of us. We feel tired yet, we fail to sleep. (This is the lyrics from the song I love the most.) Most of the time, you will find yourself awake at midnight, tip-toeing throughout the house to steal something to eat (even if you are alone). Chocolates, chips, strawberries and cigarettes (I am quoting a song again!), cake, etc. I am personally a sugar addict. If you live alone or you live in a mansion-like house where no one can hear you, then instant noodles can become your perfect nighttime snack with a cup of coffee. I should now acknowledge all the

WAIT

Copyright © WD, 2021 All rights reserved. All we do is wait. Every one of us is waiting for something or someone. For say, I am waiting for correct words to come into my mind that seems blocked. I have so many thoughts hatching in my little brain that it becomes hard to serve a platter with a perfect blend of tastes that could appeal to people who try it. The wait is all we can do. When it comes to this particular thing, everyone becomes powerless, helpless. Waiting is the only fight no one can help you in. All that another person can do is join you in waiting and stay with you. Imagine being in a toxic work environment where your superior is bossy and inconsiderate. You wait to be heard, you wait to stand against all that you have been through, you wait for that perfect moment when you can rebel and not get caught, and you wait to be able to run away the moment you get the chance. Imagine having a crush on that one person who caught your eyes among all the other million people you saw

LANGUAGE...

Copyright © WD, 2021 All rights reserved. The power this one word holds is beyond explanation. Language is the reason that I can convey what is in my mind. There are millions of thoughts that pass through an individual mind every day. The expression of thoughts might use words or actions. Altogether language and literature are mesmerizingly beautiful. At times I wish we could use the E.T. language. Finger to finger touch, and every thought gets transmitted. You can sense the environment. We tend to understand the situation as soon as we enter the room. All this is just amazing. But all this vanquishes when people start using an aid-like language in another direction. Let me explain through a very recent incident that I experienced. "Language defining your status." I think this is a common thing in countries where “English” is not the primary language. English is considered something special. I mean English is a language and is astounding like all other 6,500 languages. All th

The Mystery is YOU!

Copyright © WD, 2021 All rights reserved. Yes, I have come to this foreclosure to all the unanswered questions that linger in my brain. That there is a bigger mystery in us than any other multiverse, black hole, or Bermuda Triangle. A drama that we are looking forward to satisfying our brains which demands mystery and thriller in life, it's us. We, humans, are the mystery. Why? Because we have no idea about ourselves. We live in one dimension; as a person who we want to be and not as a person that we already are. We see people all around us, and everyone pretends to be someone else, so we actually see pretenders near us. There are genuine people too who dance to their drums. They are less in numbers, so less that it takes some extraordinary backdrop storyline behind them for us to recognize them, and when we do we start following them. If only admiring them was the limit it would be good but we start trying to become like them in totality rotating the hell loop. When we see people
